Johnston Ridge Observatory is open !  Hwy 504
to Johnston Ridge is open
for the season all the way to Johnston Ridge - milepost 52.   Forest Learning
Center Elk Viewing and Gift shop - Rest Area open daily.  Exhibits open Fri-Sat-
Sun and holidays.


Rd 25 from Cougar to Randle is open and Rd 99 to Windy Ridge opened June
30th.

calling 511.

Hiking trails, picnic areas and boat launch are all open at Coldwater
Lake.

Elk are still being seen at the Forest Learning Center - 40 elk in three
herds seen resting on the mudflow below the Center on Thursday -
June 24th.  Calves starting to show - June 30th.
